VOCALOID2 Hatsune Miku – you (HiguKai)
Over the past few weeks, VOCALOID2, a singing synthesizer, has become incredibly popular. Topping sales on Amazon Japan, with videos of popular songs popping up all over niconico and youtube. Even the main composer for ave;new used it to make a new version of their song, “True my heart”! I guess having a super moe voice and a super moe girl to go with it doesn’t hurt things, eh?
Out of all the videos I’ve watched, this Hatsune Miku version of ‘you (vocal ver)’ from the original Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai games. A bittersweet song with great vocals and even better instrumentals to back it up, this version is a nice twist on the original, which can be heard here. (That video contains some spoilers to Higurashi s1. If you’re planning to watch it and don’t want to be spoiled, I’d just minimize and listen to the song. It’s worth it.)
